Welder (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Perform precision TIG, MIG, arc, and laser welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, high-nickel alloys, and other aerospace materials.
• Interpret engineering drawings and welding symbols to maintain dimensional accuracy and specification compliance.
• Fabricate, assemble, and pressure-test structural and piping systems for aerospace and defense operations.
• Follow ASME, AWS, and company welding standards while maintaining strict safety, cleanliness, and quality requirements.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to resolve fabrication challenges.
• Support continuous improvement and process optimization initiatives.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; technical welding certification is preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in aerospace, defense, or high-precision fabrication.
• Proficiency in blueprint interpretation and all-position welding.
• Demonstrated ability to fabricate and weld carbon and stainless-steel structures and pipe to specification.
• Successful completion of company weld qualification tests and internal inspections.
• Must be eligible to access information and items subject to U.S. export controls as a U.S. person or through deemed-export licensing.

Nice to have

• 5+ years of GTAW experience with stainless steel, carbon steel, Inconel, aluminum, or titanium.
• Knowledge of ASME Section IX, AWS D17.1, or MIL-STD welding codes.
• Experience with aerospace component fabrication, ground support systems, pressure testing, inspection, or NDE methods.
• Experience with tube and pipe cutting, grinding, precision assembly, measuring instruments, and quality documentation.
• Understanding of welding metallurgy, heat control, advanced tooling, and fixturing.
