Dock Sortation Lead

Location: Onsite in Alexandria, Virginia, United States; early-morning shifts, typically 3:00am–11:00am, on a seven-day rotation.

Salary: $23–$26 per hour.

What you will do

• Run the complete dock sortation process, from pallet arrival and package scanning to batch staging and driver dispatch.
• Lead and coach 2–7 Dock Sortation Specialists, including real-time throughput management and Sort App certification.
• Own site performance against delivery, loss-rate, sort-completion, and dispatch SLAs.
• Verify Runner identities, match drivers to batches, confirm handoffs in the Sort App, and manage damaged or missing packages.
• Submit daily operations reports covering volume, devices, truck times, inventory, and escalations.
• Maintain camera coverage, device discipline, and zero unauthorized device usage or credential sharing.

Requirements

• 1–3+ years of experience leading a team in warehouse, logistics, or fulfillment operations.
• Experience with scanning, sortation, or distribution workflows.
• Familiarity with SLA-driven operations where accuracy and speed are both critical.
• Availability for early-morning shifts and a seven-day rotation.
• Comfort using AI tools as part of daily work.
• Ability to communicate clearly and make decisive operational decisions under time pressure.
