Senior Warehouse Operations Manager

Location: On-site in Ashland, Virginia, United States

Salary: $100,000–$125,000 USD per year, base salary only.

What you will do

• Manage the overall effectiveness of the Virginia warehouse and serve as the primary point of contact for warehouse operations supervisors.
• Develop the leadership team through performance management, coaching, hiring, training, and growth initiatives.
• Oversee inbound freight, receiving, stocking, vendor interactions, quality control, inventory troubleshooting, and customer order fulfillment.
• Create daily staffing and work schedules, manage attendance records, and respond to operational emergencies.
• Maintain Warehouse Management System data integrity and improve labor and system effectiveness through lasting operational changes.
• Lead safety, NSF preparation and audits, sanitation, housekeeping, pest control, and facility security initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
• At least five years of experience leading teams of 80 or more, including hiring, documentation, termination, training, and organizational change.
• Experience managing and developing salaried exempt leaders.
• Thorough knowledge of warehouse and distribution center procedures, safety rules, and regulations.
• Advanced experience with ERP and WMS systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and/or Google Suite.
• Strong communication, decision-making, problem-solving, prioritization, reporting, and project management skills.
