Senior Data Scientist (Organic Growth, FinTech)

Location: San Francisco, CA, USA; hybrid work with four days in the office and Fridays from home for employees near an office

Salary: $133,000–$185,000 base salary per year, plus bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Define KPIs and measurement frameworks across SEO landing pages, content hubs, app store listings, and audiences.
• Size organic growth opportunities and translate acquisition goals into traffic, conversion, member volume, and investment requirements.
• Build forecasting models for impressions, sessions, installs, signups, and downstream LTV across investment scenarios and ranking trajectories.
• Develop attribution approaches using search, app store, web, and app analytics while accounting for dark traffic, brand intent, and paid-organic overlap.
• Design and analyze SEO split tests, app store experiments, geo experiments, and paid search holdouts to measure incremental lift and cannibalization.
• Build dashboards and communicate actionable recommendations while partnering with marketing, product, engineering, finance, and data engineering.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in organic growth channels such as SEO, ASO, and content, along with marketing, growth, or product analytics.
• Experience with organic growth planning, opportunity sizing, forecasting, unit economics, and operational roadmaps.
• Strong experience designing and evaluating incrementality tests, including SEO split tests, app store experiments, geo experiments, and paid holdouts.
• Working knowledge of causal inference, experiment design, holdout analysis, and paid-organic cannibalization measurement.
• Advanced SQL skills and proficiency in Python or R, plus experience with organic platform data and crawl or rank-tracking tools.
• Experience building decision-support dashboards and communicating complex findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience in FinTech.
• Experience with Looker, Tableau, Google Search Console, App Store Connect, or Google Play Console.
