Senior Engineer, System Design Engineering (Memory System)

Location: Milpitas, California, United States; onsite at the Milpitas office

Salary: $116,800–$198,500 per year

What you will do

• Design memory systems for HBF-based products and develop next-generation NAND Flash products for AI infrastructure.
• Drive HBF-controller interface specifications and cross-functional alignment.
• Define HBF management, reliability, and performance improvement algorithms.
• Work with firmware engineers to implement the algorithms.
• Partner with validation teams to define test objectives, measurements, and debug plans.
• Verify and characterize algorithms on actual systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, electronics and instrumentation, VLSI, or a related field.
• At least 6 years of experience with a bachelor’s degree or 3 years with a master’s degree in NAND Flash-based or related system design.
• Programming experience in C, C++, Python, or other high-level languages.
• Experience with NAND management algorithms and qualification flows.
• Proven experience leading products or projects and managing stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of AI server hardware and software frameworks.
• Knowledge of LLM algorithms.
