Skilled Machine Operator (Lithium-Ion Battery Manufacturing)

hirify.global is expanding a lithium-ion battery manufacturing facility supporting sustainable energy and electric vehicle production.

What you will do

• Operate, recover, change over, and shut down multiple automated high-speed lithium-ion battery production machines according to SOPs and work instructions.
• Monitor machine performance and process conditions, identify abnormalities, perform manual nonconforming-product removal, and make routine operator-level adjustments.
• Maintain production, quality, and equipment records to support traceability, communication, and shift handoffs.
• Support material staging, equipment cleaning, safe production flow, and 6S housekeeping.
• Perform minor troubleshooting and escalate equipment or process issues requiring technical support.
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Maintenance, supervisors, and shift leaders while supporting peer training and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in manufacturing, automation, assembly, or maintenance, or at least 6 months as a Machine Operator 2.
• Proficient English reading, writing, and verbal communication skills required.
• Ability to analyze and estimate workload while performing multiple tasks.
• Ability to perform arithmetic using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to meet the physical demands and PPE requirements, including standing for approximately 75% of the workday and lifting up to 35 pounds.
• Must have valid authorization to work in the United States without restriction.

Nice to have

• 3+ years of experience in manufacturing, automation, assembly, or maintenance.
• Completion of Standard Work and Job Instruction training for internal candidates.
• Understanding of Kaizen and participation in Standard Work Improvement activities.
