Machine Operator 2 (Lithium-Ion Battery Production)

What you will do

• Initiate, operate, recover, and shut down automated high-speed production machinery according to SOPs and work instructions.
• Monitor machine parameters, production status, and operational performance to maintain safe, continuous production.
• Perform daily machine and equipment cleaning in clean-room environments.
• Identify machine issues, perform basic fixes without tools, and escalate problems when needed.
• Support continuous improvement of processes, documentation, standard work, efficiency, and product quality.
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Maintenance, and Supervisors while supporting peer training and workflow alignment.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in manufacturing, automation, assembly, or maintenance, or at least 6 months as a Machine Operator 1.
• Proficient English reading, writing, and verbal communication skills required.
• Ability to analyze and estimate workload while handling multiple tasks.
• Ability to perform arithmetic using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to meet the physical demands and PPE requirements, including standing for most of the workday and lifting up to 35 pounds; heavier loads require a team lift.
• Must have valid authorization to work in the United States without restriction.

Nice to have

• Two or more years of manufacturing, automation, assembly, or maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of Kaizen and participation in standard work improvement activities.
• Completion of Standard Work and Job Instruction training for internal candidates.
