Process Quality Engineer (Battery Architecture)

Location: Based in Columbia, South Carolina, United States; requires 4–5 days per week in the office, regular in-person meetings and occasional travel for company events.

Salary: $95,000–$120,000 annual base salary, plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus.

What you will do

• Develop and implement battery-architecture quality strategies using warranty, field, and production data.
• Partner with Engineering, Supplier Quality, Supply Chain, Purchasing, and Operations across development and production activities.
• Analyze quality and production data to support KPI targets and identify customer quality requirements through market research and benchmarking.
• Execute fast-response quality processes and support root cause analysis for Scout production vehicles.
• Define and maintain quality processes and technical standards while providing leadership to technical quality teams.
• Troubleshoot hands-on with Production and collaborate cross-functionally across Scout.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mechanical, electrical, industrial engineering, or a related field.
• At least 4 years of experience in automotive engineering or product quality.
• Strong technical understanding and specialist knowledge of battery architecture, vehicle assessment, and the vehicle as a whole.
• Knowledge of quality management and experience with AIAG, IATF, ISO, and VDA standards.
• Hands-on approach, strong teamwork and communication skills, assertiveness, and results-oriented decision-making.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments with competing priorities.
