Systems Architect (Java/Go)

Location: Onsite in Englewood, Colorado, or Herndon, Virginia

Salary: $139,676–$209,513 USD annualized

What you will do

• Define the technical design and delivery of a key custom application capability with Program and Product Managers.
• Develop and maintain the overall technical architecture.
• Lead and support the technical team through application development and delivery.
• Design and develop event-driven systems, containerized microservices, and resilient applications across multiple data centers.
• Build libraries that enable third parties to interact with and leverage the platform.
• Investigate end-to-end issues across multiple integrations and support agile DevOps delivery.

Requirements

• 7–10+ years of Java or Go development experience.
• 3–5+ years of cloud platform development experience.
• 7–10+ years of unit testing experience.
• Experience with event-driven systems, containerized microservices, resilient systems, AWS, serverless frameworks, Linux, Git, GitLab, Jira/Confluence, RDBMS, and messaging or queuing technologies.
• Experience working in an agile environment and documenting code artifacts, Jira tickets, and related processes.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline and active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.

Nice to have

• Experience with satellite systems and operations, including mission management, planning and scheduling, or command and telemetry.
• SIGINT domain experience.
• Experience developing multithreaded systems.
• Experience with AWS Lambda and related technologies.
