Transportation Adjuster (Michigan)

What you will do

• Investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and resolve commercial auto and transportation-related claims.
• Manage moderate-complexity claims involving bodily injury and personal injury protection exposures.
• Perform coverage analysis and make claim strategy decisions independently.
• Handle attorney-represented files and moderate litigation activity.
• Collaborate with clients, insureds, attorneys, medical providers, and other stakeholders to achieve timely and accurate resolutions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of auto transportation claims experience.
• Active Michigan claims adjusting license or reciprocal license required.
• Strong knowledge of liability claims handling practices.
• Experience with bodily injury, personal injury protection, or auto transportation-related claims.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple claims and proficiency with claims management systems and related technology.

Nice to have

• New York claims adjusting license.
• Experience with high-exposure or litigated claims.
• Familiarity with multi-party liability and multi-state claims handling.
