Director, Finance – Mid-Atlantic Region

Location: Washington, DC, USA; hybrid schedule with a minimum of four days per week in the Washington, DC office

Salary: $120,000–$130,000 yearly, bonus eligible

What you will do

• Lead finance and accounting operations for the Washington, DC market, including budgeting, forecasting, monthly close, headcount reporting, and P&L and balance sheet analysis.
• Analyze financial results, identify key drivers and KPIs, and provide regular updates and recommendations to regional and market leadership.
• Partner with the station general manager, department heads, and sales organization to support decisions and manage revenue pacing, rate, volume, and programming analytics.
• Drive consistent accounting treatment and improve finance processes for greater efficiency and accuracy.
• Manage capital investment planning, pacing, and reporting, while coordinating expense analysis, labor forecasting, travel and expense reviews, and P-Card audits.
• Support annual audits, develop business process improvement models, complete special projects, and present insights to executive management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• 8+ years of experience in finance, public accounting, or operations.
• Experience leading and managing support staff in a global environment and influencing strategic decisions across finance and non-finance functions.
• Demonstrated knowledge of GAAP and working knowledge of accounts payable, general ledger, and scheduling systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and SAP/AOE/BPC, including data analysis and manipulation.
• Willingness and ability to work longer hours when necessary.

Nice to have

• Experience in the media and entertainment industry.
• Experience with Power BI or Tableau.
• Experience with complex problem solving, process improvement, change management, and contractual interpretation.
