Researcher

Location: New York, NY; full-time on-site work at an hirify.global-designated worksite is required.

Salary: $17.00–$20.00 per hour. Compensation includes payment for at least 60 hours per week; hours over 40 per week are paid at the applicable overtime rate.

What you will do

• Create thorough research packets on upcoming guests.
• Identify interview discussion topics aligned with the show's voice.
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date information on assigned guests.
• Develop games, bits, and unique guest beats based on research.
• Support segment producers with material for guest segments.
• Fact-check and proofread show materials while meeting daily deadlines.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.
• At least 2 years of production experience and 1 year of research experience.
• Proficiency with Windows and Mac, plus knowledge of video file formats, transcoding, and video editing.
• Strong Internet research skills and editorial judgment when selecting clips.
• Willingness to work long hours, weekends, and short-notice assignments in New York.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize simultaneous assignments, and work effectively under pressure and constant deadlines.

Nice to have

• Previous talk show or news experience.
• Knowledge of clip libraries and stock footage sources.
• Extensive knowledge of pop culture, politics, and Internet culture.
