What you will do

• Lead the transition toward a multi-platform newsroom through daily example, training, and original content production.
• Develop and execute station content strategies across broadcast, web, and social media.
• Research, interview, write, and produce accurate local and trending news stories.
• Shoot and edit content for on-air and digital platforms.
• Review copy for factual, grammatical, punctuation, editorial style, and formatting accuracy.
• Build digital calendars and campaigns that promote local shows and specials and engage viewers.

Requirements

• Degree in journalism and experience with a daily newspaper or news website.
• Working web samples and/or print pages are preferred.
• Proficiency in Associated Press style, Adobe Photoshop, Dreamweaver, and basic HTML is preferred.
• Ability to use Facebook, Twitter, and other social media platforms for news and audience engagement.
• Ability to collaborate across departments, maintain a positive work environment, and respond positively to feedback.

Nice to have

• CSS, Flash, and other relevant technology skills.
