Salary: $75,000–$90,000 per year, depending on experience

What you will do

• Pitch daily stories for primetime and digital programming.
• Identify high-profile guests, cultivate contacts, and arrange guest appearances.
• Conduct pre-interviews and in-depth research on current news and political topics.
• Organize and produce editorial elements for show segments.
• Monitor news and locate people, images, and sound information across social media and editorial platforms.
• Find reliable guests and witnesses quickly during breaking-news situations.

Requirements

• Five or more years of television experience.
• Extensive contacts and the ability to book high-profile guests and people at the center of major news stories.
• Strong editorial judgment and knowledge of current events and politics.
• Excellent organization, communication, and attention to detail while managing tight deadlines and long-term bookings.
• Flexibility to work varying hours when breaking news or major events require it.
• A bachelor's degree is preferred; experience with LexisNexis and ENPS is valuable.
