What you will do

• Pitch stories daily for primetime and digital programming.
• Identify high-profile guests, cultivate relationships, and arrange guest appearances.
• Conduct pre-interviews and in-depth research on current events, politics, and breaking news.
• Organize and produce editorial elements for show segments.
• Monitor news and social platforms to locate people, images, and sound editorial information.
• Find reliable guests and witnesses quickly during breaking news situations.

Requirements

• Five or more years of television experience.
• Extensive contacts and the ability to book high-profile guests and people connected to major news stories.
• Strong editorial judgment and knowledge of current events and politics.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Flexibility to work varying hours when breaking news or major events require it.
• Experience with LexisNexis and ENPS is valuable; a bachelor's degree is preferred.
