Head of Global P2P / Accounts Payable

Location: Newton, Massachusetts, United States; hybrid work with in-person attendance three days a week or more

Salary: $130,000–$165,000 annually based on experience, plus a 15% annual performance bonus

What you will do

• Lead the global accounts payable and procure-to-pay function across US, EMEA, and APAC entities.
• Oversee invoice intake, approvals, validation, coding, vendor payments, employee expense reimbursements, and cash-flow optimization.
• Manage vendor onboarding, master data, payment terms, disputes, compliance, and escalated payment inquiries.
• Drive process standardization, e-invoicing, workflow automation, touchless processing, and digital transformation initiatives.
• Lead AP systems implementation and collaborate with IT and cross-functional stakeholders on integration and adoption.
• Develop the global AP team, establish performance metrics, support financial close and forecasting, and report results to senior leadership.

Requirements

• Proven experience managing a global accounts payable function and geographically dispersed teams across the US, UK, and APAC.
• At least 7 years of experience in a global management role within accounts payable.
• Strong knowledge of AP processes, ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle, and AP automation tools.
• Experience with SOX compliance, internal controls, segregation of duties, audits, 1099 reporting, and VAT/GST requirements.
• Demonstrated experience with process improvement, system implementation, digital transformation, analytics, and complex issue resolution.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.

• Experience in a shared services environment.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements across US, EMEA, and APAC.
• Project management experience involving system implementation or process transformation.
