Sr. System Design Engineer (DUV, VUV Plasma Sources)

Base pay: $186,200–$316,500 annually

What you will do

• Lead next-generation product development from technology evaluation and selection through specification development, validation, and verification.
• Develop DUV and VUV plasma sources for broadband plasma inspection systems.
• Plan and execute experiments and simulations to predict candidate system performance.
• Lead engineering teams through trade-off studies and major architecture decisions for complex systems.
• Define top-level system specifications and flow them down to subsystem and component specifications.
• Develop error budgets, interfaces, calibrations, and diagnostics while driving program goals.

Requirements

• Experience developing complex opto-mechanical, laser, and thermal systems.
• Expertise in lasers, plasma, light generation, vacuum, high-pressure systems, and clean hardware development.
• Minimum experience: PhD plus 3 years, MS plus 6 years, or bachelor's degree plus 8 years.
• Leadership experience guiding engineers and making system-level architecture decisions.
• Strongly preferred: LabView and mechanical software skills, including SolidWorks, CAD, or CREO.
