What you will do

• Develop and validate manufacturing processes from proof-of-concept prototypes through sustained production.
• Develop laser cutting, welding, and deburring processes for small medical components.
• Program laser systems, tune motion systems, develop parameters, troubleshoot issues, and document processes.
• Improve CAM programming with SMARTCAM and Cagila, including post-processors and HMI interfaces.
• Select and evaluate equipment, tooling, and mechanical process solutions; support tooling modifications and process improvements.
• Evaluate automation controls and investigate new laser cutting and welding technologies with external applications partners and laboratories.

Requirements

• BS in a relevant engineering discipline with at least five years of related experience, or MS with at least three years of relevant experience.
• Experience with CAM programming and development.
• Strong SolidWorks, 3D modeling, and design skills.
• Proficiency in Statistical Process Control methodologies.
• Strong verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
