Sr. Mechanical Engineer

Annual base pay: $160,800–$241,200

What you will do

• Support the design, development, and testing of rack-mounted network equipment for enterprise and OCP rack environments.
• Design sheet metal, injection-molded, cast, machined, and related mechanical parts.
• Create mechanical layouts for PCB/PCA assemblies and evaluate fans, heat sinks, connectors, hardware, and other components.
• Perform thermal and structural simulations, testing, tolerance, fit, and other design analyses, and prepare reports.
• Support prototype builds, lab evaluations, design reviews, and cross-functional engineering meetings.
• Review and release engineering drawings, bills of materials, engineering change orders, and deviations while meeting project schedules.

Requirements

• BSME or MSME from an accredited university.
• Extensive experience in mechanical engineering design and server appliance or chassis design.
• Experience with SolidWorks mechanical CAD software; CSWP certification or equivalent.
• Familiarity with mechanical CAD and simulation software, basic shop tools, and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to design mechanical assemblies, communicate clearly, take initiative, and work with interdisciplinary engineering and lab teams.
• Ability to work in an office environment, use lab and shop equipment occasionally, and lift up to 50 pounds on occasion.
