Pricing Transformation Actuary (Insurance)

What you will do

• Develop, deliver, maintain, and enhance pricing frameworks that support underwriting and portfolio decisions.
• Work with underwriters, actuaries, and business partners to translate pricing challenges into practical model improvements.
• Own pricing models, model components, and initiatives within the Pricing Transformation roadmap.
• Develop pricing models on the Hyperexponential (HX) platform using Excel, analytical tools, and appropriate technologies.
• Analyse pricing data, evaluate model performance, and support calibration, testing, validation, and documentation.
• Collaborate with Portfolio Management, Analytics, AI, Change & Delivery, and IT teams to improve underwriting outcomes and operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Experience developing, enhancing, or supporting pricing models, ideally in insurance pricing or a related analytical field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to interpret pricing data and draw practical conclusions.
• Proficiency in at least one coding language and the ability to transfer those skills to Python; experience using code beyond basic Excel is expected.
• Ability to work effectively with underwriters and business partners and explain technical concepts in clear language.
• Curiosity, ownership, growth mindset, and interest in pricing, analytics, technology, and transformation.
• Ability to collaborate with senior pricing specialists, actuaries, and technical colleagues.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Hyperexponential (HX) or similar pricing platforms.
• Actuarial work or study demonstrating insurance knowledge.
• Python, analytical technology, or experience working with developers and technical specialists.
• Experience supporting transformation, operational improvement, or technology-enabled change initiatives.
• Interest in AI, automation, and modern analytical tooling.
