AI Agent Strategist

Location: On-site in San Francisco, CA or New York, NY

Salary: $200,000–$290,000 per year, plus equity

What you will do

• Own the full agent development lifecycle, from initial scoping and conversation design through tooling, evaluation, launch, and production iteration.
• Translate enterprise business goals and complex customer problems into effective AI agents.
• Advise enterprise executives on AI strategy and define measurable success criteria.
• Lead customer working sessions, troubleshoot agents, and drive projects toward launch.
• Feed customer insights and unmet needs back to research and platform teams.
• Define evaluation and quality standards and use metrics to improve agent outcomes.

Requirements

• Experience working directly with customers, understanding complex organizations, and building trusted relationships.
• Strong communication, analytical thinking, strategic problem-solving, ownership, and delivery skills.
• Technical aptitude, including the ability to read API documentation, understand data models and system architecture, and discuss engineering trade-offs.
• Experience building or deploying AI/LLM agents in production, including agent tooling, evaluation frameworks, RAG, or prompt engineering.
• Founder, founding team member, or operator experience with the ability to balance craft, ownership, and speed.
• A degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related technical field, equivalent practical experience, and/or an MBA.

Nice to have

• Experience in financial technology, financial institution implementations, or financial services security and compliance, including fair lending and PII handling.
• Genuine interest in financial services and improving end-customer experiences.
