Engineer (AI/SEO)

Location: Remote in the United States or Canada

Salary: $190K–$220K annual base salary, depending on level, location, and experience, plus pre-IPO equity.

What you will do

• Own the technical strategy and roadmap for SEO and AEO/GEO systems at scale.
• Lead major initiatives across ingestion sources, indexing, serving, and content-generation workflows from design through launch.
• Build reliable pipelines and services with guardrails, alerting, dashboards, observability, and incident-ready runbooks.
• Define metrics, run controlled experiments, analyze results, and diagnose changes in rankings, traffic, and conversion.
• Mentor engineers, review designs, establish engineering standards, and align cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• Strong technical leadership and end-to-end ownership of multi-quarter initiatives.
• Experience or familiarity with SEO systems, including crawling, indexing, content generation, templating, structured data, internal linking, canonicalization, and internationalization.
• Ability to define success metrics, run experiments, analyze results, and debug performance changes.
• Experience building reliable pipelines and services with observability, alerting, and operational runbooks.
• Ability to design durable architectures across ingestion, storage, serving, and quality controls.
• Strong collaboration skills across Product, Data, and Design, including influencing decisions without direct authority.
