Location: Greater Seattle Area, United States. Relocation assistance is available. Travel of 25–35% may be required for site visits, design reviews, partner meetings, and customer engagements.
Base pay: $169,347.00–$237,085.80 annually for applicants in Washington and Virginia; other site ranges may differ.
Company
develops reusable space vehicles and systems and is building TeraWave, a multi-orbit satellite communications network designed to provide enterprise-grade connectivity worldwide.
What you will do
- Own execution for a critical TeraWave program domain from concept and requirements definition through launch and operations support.
- Represent the Voice of the Customer and translate business and customer needs into executable requirements and delivery plans.
- Design and run weekly execution reviews, risk reviews, decision logs, corrective-action tracking, and business review inputs.
- Track schedule health, delivery performance, risk burndown, readiness gates, and lessons learned.
- Lead cross-functional technical reviews across hardware, software, systems, engineering, operations, strategy, and business development.
- Prepare decision-ready escalation packages and present recommendations to senior leadership, partners, and customers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering, systems engineering, or a related technical field.
- 8+ years of product or technical program management experience, including 6+ years working directly with hardware and software engineering teams.
- Experience delivering complex initiatives from conception through completion and managing cross-functional workstreams with external dependencies.
- Experience defining, scoping, and prioritizing requirements across hardware and software programs, preferably in aerospace, satellite, defense, telecommunications, or comparable environments.
- Technical fluency in system integration, interface control, testing and verification, operational readiness, and subsystem dependency management.
- Applicants must be U.S. citizens or nationals, U.S. permanent residents, or lawfully admitted refugees or asylees.
Nice to have
- Experience with satellite communications, optical communications, ground segments, or RF systems.
- Familiarity with manufacturing readiness, Design for Manufacturability, Assembly, Integration, and Test planning, and production-rate assessment.
- Knowledge of U.S. government contracting, export controls, and national security space customers.
- Experience with program-level financial tracking, ROM estimating, and mentoring junior team members.
