DCEO Chief Engineer, Data Center Engineering Operations (Data Center Infrastructure)

Location: Villanueva de Gállego, Spain; onsite data center operations with physical work at height, on ladders, and in noisy environments.

What you will do

• Maintain and oversee the operation of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and fire-safety systems to ensure continuous data center availability.
• Train and support engineering teams in troubleshooting and operating generators, switchgear, UPSs, PDUs, AHUs, chillers, and related equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance, corrective work, emergency response, and facility and server-level incident troubleshooting.
• Lead large-scale facility projects and new-region support from planning through completion, including milestones, quotes, documentation, and cross-functional coordination.
• Conduct root cause analyses, prepare recurring reports, and create standard operating practices for engineers, technicians, and vendors.
• Act as the escalation point for regional facility issues and support site stability, including overtime when required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in data center engineering or operations and in another critical environment.
• Experience managing vendors and supporting facility operations.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, work at height and from ladders, and work in noisy environments with hearing protection.
• Ability to operate independently with limited direct management and follow all applicable safety procedures.

Nice to have

• Electrical or mechanical Journeyman License.
• Operating engineering license such as DC II, DC III, or equivalent.
• Construction or project management experience.
