Contributor Experience Manager, Community (AI)

What you will do

• Develop strategies to increase contributor participation, satisfaction, engagement, and retention.
• Manage external community platforms such as Reddit and the internal Outlier Community.
• Build systems for routing questions, feedback, and disputes across community and social channels.
• Organize virtual events, monitor community sentiment, and proactively address risks and concerns.
• Use contributor feedback, insights, and quantitative metrics to improve product and operational strategies.
• Coordinate with operations, support, communications, marketing, and legal teams while drafting contributor communications.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, finance, or a related field.
• At least five years of experience in communications, marketing operations, field operations, program management, or project management.
• Experience managing large-scale communities on platforms such as Slack, Discord, or Discourse.
• Exceptional writing and communication skills, with the ability to make complex information clear and accessible.
• Data-driven approach with the ability to analyze metrics and use SQL and/or Claude Code to derive insights.
• Experience managing at least one direct report and holding them accountable for outcomes.
