Master Electrician, Facility Services (Electrical Systems)

Location: Montgomery, Alabama, United States; onsite at a Walmart Supercenter

Hourly wage: $35.00–$70.00, with possible premiums of $0.35–$3.00 per hour.

What you will do

• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, and replacements for facilities, equipment, fixtures, and electrical systems.
• Install and maintain electrical panels, breakers, switches, outlets, lighting systems, and conduit in accordance with applicable codes.
• Act as the electrical subject-matter expert, designing solutions for complex and large-scale repairs or modifications.
• Lead and mentor Journeyman and Apprentice Electricians; provide training on electrical techniques, code requirements, and Arc Flash safety.
• Manage work orders, maintenance schedules, parts, purchase records, warranty claims, contractors, and compliance documentation.
• Participate in an on-call rotation approximately every 4–6 weeks and operate vehicles, forklifts, and other heavy machinery safely.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in the electrical trade; Master-level experience is preferred.
• Licensed Master Electrician in good standing or equivalent in the state of work.
• License in a related trade in the city and/or state of work.
• Valid state-issued driver's license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report.
• Ability to follow NEC, OSHA, EPA, safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.

Nice to have

• Completion of a 2-year vocational or technical trade program.
• Previous supervisory or team lead experience.
• Intermediate proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software.
