Automotive Technician B Tech (Automotive)

Location: 654868 Southwest Plaza; onsite automotive service role in the United States.

Salary: $19.57–$31.12 flat-rate pay, with performance-based earning potential.

What you will do

• Diagnose and repair brake, hydraulic, exhaust, fuel, ignition, electrical, suspension, alignment, air-conditioning, and computer systems.
• Explain technical diagnoses and required repairs to customers and other non-mechanical audiences.
• Assist with and train other technicians and mechanics on technical activities.
• Stay current with automotive technology through paid formal training.
• Obtain or maintain ASE certification in at least three A1–A8 areas within the first two years.

Requirements

• Must hold a valid automobile driver's license and be able to drive customer and company vehicles.
• Demonstrated skills in brake and hydraulic systems and/or steering, suspension, and alignments.
• Experience with general automotive maintenance and tire repair.
• Current federal, state, and local certifications or licenses where applicable.
• Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical people, plus reading, writing, and math skills.
• Preferred: three years of automotive repair experience, vocational-technical education, or third-party assessments and certifications; ASE certification in at least one A1–A8 area is preferred.
