Area Director Human Resources - ES

Location: Livonia, Michigan, USA; requires 50% travel across designated operating locations.

What you will do

• Lead the development, implementation, and administration of HR programs across multiple divisions and operating units.
• Align business objectives with employee and management needs through HR Managers supporting designated business units.
• Advise the Area President, General Managers, and local managers on employee relations, labor relations, performance, compensation, benefits, and talent management.
• Analyze HR trends and metrics to develop solutions, programs, and operating guidelines.
• Partner with Talent Acquisition and operational leaders to attract, select, and develop talent.
• Support investigations, collective bargaining negotiations, and organizational capability building across field locations.

Requirements

• Minimum seven years of directly applicable HR Generalist or Manager experience covering all aspects of human resources.
• Experience supporting or leading HR across multiple operating locations.
• Employee relations and investigation experience.
• Knowledge of recruiting, selection, training, employment law, including FLSA, FMLA, ADA, and Title VII, and the National Labor Relations Act.
• Knowledge of collective bargaining agreements, contract negotiations, profit and loss statements, and financial results.
• PHR or SPHR certification and the ability to influence without formal authority.
