Automotive Senior Technician (Automotive)

Location: 007641 Bellaire, United States; onsite automotive service role

Salary: $20.60–$31.15 per hour, with flat-rate performance-based compensation.

What you will do

• Diagnose and repair brake, hydraulic, exhaust, fuel ignition, electrical, suspension, alignment, air conditioning, and computer systems.
• Explain technical diagnoses and required repairs to customers without mechanical expertise.
• Assist with and train technicians and mechanics on technical activities.
• Maintain current automotive knowledge through paid formal training.
• Obtain or maintain A.S.E. certification in at least three of the A1–A8 areas within the first two years.

Requirements

• Must hold a valid automobile driver's license and be able to drive customer and company vehicles.
• Demonstrated ability in brake and hydraulic systems, and/or steering, suspension, and alignments.
• Automotive maintenance and tire repair skills.
• Applicable federal, state, and local certifications or licenses.
• Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical people, with reading, writing, and math skills.
• Preferred: three years of automotive repair experience, vocational-technical training, or demonstrated skills through assessments or certifications; A.S.E. certification in at least one A1–A8 area is also preferred.
