Survey Construction Manager (Civil 3D)

Location: Riverside, California, US; substantial time in the field, travel to job sites, and work in job-site offices as needed.

Salary: $120,000–$180,000 annually

What you will do

• Lead construction surveying activities and supervise subordinate staff.
• Manage construction projects, schedules, budgets, contracts, bid documents, fee proposals, and scopes of work.
• Coordinate design staff, field crews, clients, public agencies, and internal teams.
• Prepare construction staking calculations using AutoCAD Civil 3D and provide technical direction to field crews.
• Perform take-offs, construction cost estimates, constructability reviews, and construction-phase sequencing analysis.
• Identify site constraints and regulatory issues while supporting grading, utility construction, and job-site safety.

Requirements

• At least four years of relevant industry experience and one year of management experience supervising staff.
• Experience with construction staking, civil, architectural, and structural plans, grading, utility construction support, and construction practices.
• Ability to make independent decisions and maintain effective relationships with clients, public agencies, staff, and field crews.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and Trimble Business Center.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to drive to job sites, work substantially in the field, and work from job-site offices.
• Knowledge of Riverside-area jurisdictional codes, standards, and procedures is beneficial.
