Staff Software Engineer (AI/ML)

Location: Bellevue, Washington, United States — Bellevue Skyline Office

Salary: $132,000–$264,000 annual, plus performance-based bonuses and potential stock compensation.

What you will do

• Deliver scalable platform capabilities, including infrastructure, tooling, and machine learning frameworks.
• Lead the full software development lifecycle, including coding, testing, CI/CD deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.
• Apply cloud-native architecture principles to build scalable, resilient, and agile systems.
• Conduct system design reviews and ensure alignment with architectural best practices.
• Build AI-driven applications with machine learning components and intelligent automation.
• Mentor engineers, influence technical decisions, and collaborate across teams to define requirements and improve engineering processes.

Requirements

• 4+ years of software engineering experience with a relevant bachelor's degree, or 6+ years of software engineering experience.
• Expertise in cloud-native architecture, microservices, containers, and automation.
• Strong knowledge of software design patterns, API design, and software prototyping.
• Experience with coding, testing, CI/CD deployment, monitoring, and system design reviews.
• Ability to use data-driven decision-making, define success metrics, and communicate complex technical concepts across teams.
• Demonstrated experience mentoring engineers and influencing technical decisions.

Nice to have

• Master's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or a related field.
• Knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA, assistive technologies, and digital accessibility best practices.
