Senior Manager, Software Engineering (AI)

Location: Remote (US)

Base salary: $200,000–$235,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead and grow an engineering organization of approximately 16 engineers across four AI-focused pods.
• Guide the development of AI-native products, including agentic workflows, LLM-powered services, and AI-assisted engineering practices.
• Own execution, delivery, quality, and velocity while managing cross-pod dependencies, sequencing, and delivery risks.
• Shape architecture across the React, TypeScript, Node, AWS, PostgreSQL, and Redshift stack.
• Drive engineering excellence across code quality, testing, observability, incident response, and CI/CD.
• Coach engineers and technical leads while partnering with product, design, and leadership.

Requirements

• Remote work from the United States is required.
• 10+ years of software engineering experience and 5+ years managing engineering teams.
• Experience leading organizations of 10+ engineers and managing multiple engineering teams simultaneously.
• Hands-on AI-native development experience with agentic systems, LLM integrations, or AI-first architectures.
• Strong knowledge of React, TypeScript, Node, JavaScript, AWS, PostgreSQL, Redshift, Docker, and Kubernetes, plus familiarity with GraphQL and REST APIs.
• Experience with Agile or Lean delivery practices, architecture decisions, cross-team dependencies, risk management, mentorship, and stakeholder communication.
