Full Stack Software Development Engineer III (AI)

Salary: $146,000–$204,500 total cash annually, with potential pay up to $233,500 based on sustained performance.

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, and operate scalable services and applications across the full software development lifecycle.
• Own low-level designs, API contracts, data models, and integration patterns for services within the assigned domain.
• Build and scale AI-powered traveler and agent experiences, including virtual assistants and trip-planning capabilities.
• Collaborate with product, architecture, and engineering teams to break down complex technical and business problems.
• Improve code quality, observability, security, performance, and operational readiness through reviews, automation, and on-call participation.
• Contribute reusable libraries, platforms, and engineering patterns across multiple services and product areas.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Several years of professional software development experience building and operating production services or applications.
• Experience owning service or component design, including low-level system design, API design, and data modeling.
• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language and associated frameworks, with strong software engineering fundamentals.
• Experience improving reliability, performance, and maintainability through testing, monitoring, and operational practices.
• Experience with distributed systems, multi-service architectures, metrics, experimentation, observability, incident response, or AI/ML-enabled products is preferred.
