Machine Operator - Weekend Shift (CNC)

Location: Riceville, Iowa, United States; onsite production facility

Starting pay: $20.00–$25.48 per hour based on experience, plus a $4.00 per hour weekend-shift differential.

McNeilus, an Oshkosh Company, designs and manufactures refuse truck bodies for waste collection fleets.

What you will do

• Program, set up, and operate CNC, laser-cutting, plasma-cutting, shear-cutting, rolling, press-brake, saw, and punch equipment.
• Produce parts that meet drawing specifications and dimensional tolerances.
• Maintain quality and safety standards while operating fabrication equipment.
• Read technical drawings and use calipers, protractors, tape measures, and other measuring devices.
• Troubleshoot equipment and perform preventative maintenance as needed.
• Operate vac lifts, overhead, gantry, and jib cranes while handling materials weighing up to 10,000 pounds.

Requirements

• At least six months of applicable experience or an evaluated equivalent.
• Ability to read and understand general fabrication tools and measuring equipment.
• Ability to use basic hand tools, including wrenches, hammers, pry bars, grinders, magnets, and pliers.
• High school diploma or GED is not required.

Nice to have

• High school diploma or GED.
• Operational knowledge of CNC cutting machines, press brakes, drills, and saws.
• Ability to run a fabrication machine proficiently with little to no quality defects.
• Enjoyment of working in a team environment.
