Construction Safety Manager (OCIP)

Location: Seattle, WA; hybrid role with required on-site presence and regular travel between active construction project sites

Salary: $110,000–$140,000 per year

What you will do

• Oversee construction safety activities across multiple active projects operating under an Owner Controlled Insurance Program.
• Conduct routine safety inspections, audits, daily work reviews, hazard assessments, and compliance checks across construction sites.
• Monitor compliance with OSHA regulations, OCIP requirements, and project-specific safety standards.
• Partner with contractors and project teams to implement corrective actions and investigate incidents, near misses, and recordable injuries.
• Prepare safety reports and compliance documentation, participate in project meetings, and support OSHA inspections.
• Lead safety training, orientations, tailgate meetings, stand-downs, coaching, and proactive risk management initiatives.

Requirements

• 5+ years of heavy construction safety experience.
• CHST certification required.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, construction safety practices, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience with construction site inspections, safety audits, hazard assessments, and incident investigations.
• Ability to travel regularly between active construction project sites and support an on-site presence.
• Strong communication, relationship-building, documentation, and multi-project management skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting or managing Owner Controlled Insurance Programs.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification.
• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Construction Management, Environmental Health and Safety, or a related field.
• Additional certifications such as CSP or ASP.
