Manager Director (Aerospace & Defense)

Location: Charlotte, NC, United States; office workplace

Salary: $93,000–$189,000 annual base salary, plus eligibility for incentive compensation and benefits.

What you will do

• Build and service commercial business relationships and profitable loan portfolios in the aerospace and defense sectors.
• Originate, analyze, structure, negotiate, and close commercial loan transactions.
• Underwrite loan requests by reviewing financial information, statements, credit checks, documentation, and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor existing accounts, conduct periodic portfolio reviews, identify emerging issues, and coordinate remedial management or workout activities.
• Coordinate attorneys, accountants, consultants, appraisers, title companies, government agencies, and internal support personnel.
• Promote banking products including business checking, treasury management, and other lending services.

Requirements

• Four-year college degree or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years of commercial lending experience.
• At least 5 years of lending experience with aerospace and/or defense companies.
• Experience with credit analysis, underwriting, loan documentation, and regulatory compliance.
• Strong analytical, interpersonal, sales, organizational, oral, and written communication skills.
• Working knowledge of Word and Excel and the ability to learn additional systems.

Nice to have

• MBA in Finance or Accounting.
• 7–10 years of middle-market lending experience.
• Experience negotiating, structuring, and closing commercial loans.
• Knowledge of SBA and similar government guarantee programs.
