Finance Director - Aftermarket (Aerospace)

Location: Onsite in Buffalo, NY / East Aurora, New York; ability to relocate to East Aurora and work on-site required.

Salary: $170,000–$200,000 annually

What you will do

• Partner with business leaders and finance teams to improve financial performance through analysis, forecasting, and long-range planning.
• Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and financial control processes.
• Develop financial processes, performance metrics, and reporting for sales, operating margin, working capital, and overall business performance.
• Provide financial guidance on investments, pricing, costing, customer negotiations, commercial models, and capital allocation.
• Identify trends, risks, and opportunities and deliver data-driven recommendations to leadership.
• Manage, coach, and develop direct reports while promoting continuous improvement and operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Over 10 years of progressive experience in accounting, finance, operations management, or supply chain.
• At least 5 years of experience managing, coaching, and developing high-performing teams.
• Strategic thinking, strong communication, and the ability to influence stakeholders and lead through ambiguity.
• Ability to relocate to East Aurora, New York and be present onsite.
• Experience ensuring financial accuracy, governance, controls, compliance, and reporting standards.

Nice to have

• Manufacturing or aerospace industry experience.
• SAP or ERP business systems experience.
• Integrated Business Planning, product cost analysis, and Purchase Price Variance experience.
• Long-term accounting or government finance experience.
• MBA or CPA.
