Senior Application Analyst - Epic Grand Central/Prelude

Location: Boston, Massachusetts, United States; remote work with occasional onsite attendance

Salary: $115,800–$127,700 per year

What you will do

• Design, configure, test, maintain, and optimize complex Epic applications supporting Patient Access operations.
• Translate cross-functional business requirements and workflows into scalable application solutions and build configurations.
• Provide day-to-day operational support, troubleshoot incidents and workflow issues, and lead root-cause analysis for recurring problems.
• Lead testing, validation, release readiness, go-live preparation, stabilization, and continuous optimization for medium-to-high complexity initiatives.
• Develop runbooks, support documentation, training standards, and knowledge-transfer materials.
• Coordinate with operational leaders, IT teams, engineering, vendors, and analysts while mentoring team members.

Requirements

• At least 6 years of experience developing, supporting, or operating software applications.
• Advanced experience configuring, optimizing, and troubleshooting complex applications.
• In-depth experience with Patient Access workflows, including Financial Clearance, eligibility verification, bed management, and service-level authorizations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, integration, risk-assessment, and cross-team coordination skills.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required; a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred.
• Healthcare application experience is preferred; Epic Prelude and/or Grand Central certification is strongly preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience with Epic Willow, Beacon, Cadence, or Ambulatory applications.
• ITIL certification.
• Experience with Microsoft Project or Smartsheet.
