Distribution Design Associate Engineer (Hybrid Schedule)

Location: Stamford, CT, United States; hybrid schedule

Salary: $82,000–$88,000 annual salary, plus incentive

What you will do

• Support planning, analysis, and performance improvement for assigned distribution circuits.
• Review interruption reports and investigate outages, voltage issues, overloads, and power quality problems.
• Develop corrective actions, contingency plans, equipment repair or replacement recommendations, and distribution projects.
• Provide engineering support for customer additions, field design, easements, operations, recloser and breaker settings, and customer service issues.
• Use distribution-system modeling and analysis tools, including SynerGee, PTI, USAmp, PI, and Visio.
• Support storm restoration, emergency preparedness, emergency assignments, and presentations to the Connecticut Project Authorization Committee.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required; Electrical Engineering preferred.
• Zero to three years of equivalent Energy Delivery experience preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical distribution systems and circuit analysis software preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
• Valid motor vehicle operator’s license required.
