Distribution Planning Engineer (Staff, Senior, or Principal) (Electrical Engineering)

Salary: $81,800–$156,600 per year, depending on level.

What you will do

• Apply engineering standards, principles, theories, concepts, and techniques to complex distribution engineering assignments.
• Develop and support technical documentation, including designs, testing, calculations, reports, and standards.
• Provide technical support for operations, maintenance, testing, diagnostics, and regulatory activities.
• Lead or coordinate engineering projects and project phases such as research, design, equipment selection, procurement, installation, and commissioning.
• Support bid preparation, proposal evaluations, technical recommendations, budgeting, estimating, forecasting, accounting, and work order management.
• Coordinate the work of interns, drafters, technicians, craft personnel, and other professionals while mentoring less experienced engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited curriculum; electrical engineering is preferred.
• Staff level: 2+ years of relevant engineering experience; EIT/FE is strongly preferred.
• Senior level: 5+ years of relevant experience with EIT/FE, or 7+ years without EIT/FE; PE registration may be required depending on business need.
• Principal level: 9+ years of relevant experience with PE registration, or 15+ years without PE registration.
• Demonstrated technical skills, engineering competency, and knowledge of related disciplines.
• Work is associated with the Lipan Distribution Center in the United States.
