Senior HRIS Applications Analyst (Workday)

What you will do

• Configure, maintain, and optimize Workday modules including Core HCM, Absence, Benefits, Advanced Compensation, Payroll, Performance & Talent, and Time Tracking.
• Troubleshoot operational, data, workflow, benefits, and downstream integration issues while providing production and end-user support.
• Build custom reports, dashboards, Discovery Boards, and Workday Hubs, and provision stakeholder access.
• Maintain inbound and outbound integrations and data loads using EIB, Cloud Connectors, Workday Studio, and Workday APIs.
• Support compensation review cycles, US open enrollment, global benefits configuration, testing, change management, documentation, and compliance controls.
• Partner with HR, Finance, Benefits, IT, and other stakeholders; communicate system impacts and mentor peers on Workday best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of HRIS experience with hands-on Workday configuration and global implementation experience.
• Experience across multiple Workday modules, including HCM, Absence, Benefits, Advanced Compensation, Payroll, Performance & Talent, Time Tracking, and Reporting.
• Deep knowledge of Workday business processes, security, reporting, calculated fields, and foundational concepts.
• Strong experience with Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, SOAP/REST APIs, XML, XSLT, JSON, and web services.
• Experience with unit, integration, and user acceptance testing, as well as stakeholder communication and process documentation.

Nice to have

• Experience with integration middleware or iPaaS solutions such as Boomi or Workato.
• Workday Pro Certification.
• Experience experimenting with AI tools such as Workday Agents, Co-Pilot, or Claude to automate tasks and processes.
