People Enablement Lead (US Payroll)

Location: New York City; hybrid, with in-office work two days per week

Salary: $150,000–$187,000 per year

What you will do

• Run bi-weekly US payroll end-to-end through ADP Workforce Now across multiple states.
• Manage Workday transactions, including onboarding, employee data changes, offboarding, and record accuracy.
• Maintain employee-facing guides, internal process documentation, and partner resources in SharePoint and later Atomicwork.
• Support payroll registrations as the business expands into new jurisdictions.
• Identify process gaps and build systems and documentation to address them.

Requirements

• 6–8 years of experience in payroll and HR generalist operations.
• Hands-on experience running multi-state payroll, including NYC and California.
• Proficiency with Workday transactions and employee records.
• Strong attention to detail and ownership of recurring, high-stakes processes.
• Clear written communication for creating employee-facing documentation.
• Based in NYC and able to work in the office two days per week.
