Manager, People Operations

Location: Hybrid; work from the Arlington, Virginia office 3 days per week. The role supports US-based People Operations and global mobility.

Salary: $112,900–$141,100 USD annual base salary for US locations, plus potential bonus and equity incentives.

hirify.global designs, builds, and operates a large constellation of imaging satellites and delivers satellite data through a cloud-based platform for commercial, environmental, and humanitarian users.

What you will do

• Manage Employer of Record operations, including new hires, contract information, amendments, stakeholder education, issue escalation, and vendor calls.
• Lead US immigration matters, maintain immigration records and policies, and coordinate visa-related processes with employees, managers, and People Business Partners.
• Monitor US multi-state labor-law changes, support employee handbook updates, and partner with Legal and People teams on employee issues.
• Improve and scale People Operations processes, policies, documentation, and standard operating procedures.
• Manage US-based People Operations Partners and support onboarding and hire-to-retire processes.
• Contribute to global expansion, HRIS implementation, data reporting, and other strategic People Operations initiatives.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in HR or People Operations covering multiple countries and US states.
• 2+ years of people management experience.
• Direct experience managing US immigration and visa processes, with strong knowledge of visa types and immigration regulations.
• Extensive knowledge of multi-state US labor law, including California requirements, federal contractor compliance, and SOX compliance.
• Experience with global Employers of Record and vendor relationship management.
• Strong organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, process adherence, and proficiency with Excel or Google Sheets, including lookup formulas and pivot tables.

Nice to have

• Experience in employee relations or HR business partnership.
• Experience establishing HR operations for an entity in a new country.
• Experience with HiBob or other HR systems, Jira or other ticketing systems, and AI tools such as Gemini.
