Senior Functional Analyst

Location: 100% remote within the United States; candidates from California, Colorado, Illinois, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, and Washington will not be considered. Greenville, NC is also listed as a location.

Salary: $78,167–$103,855 per year

What you will do

• Lead the capture, analysis, documentation, validation, and change control of business, functional, technical, and non-technical requirements.
• Collaborate with business users, IT teams, leadership, product owners, systems engineers, customers, and contractors.
• Use JIRA as an Application Lifecycle Management tool to manage requirements, epics, user stories, testing, defects, acceptance criteria, and traceability.
• Facilitate user interviews, requirements workshops, backlog refinement sessions, and Agile/Scrum activities.
• Track risks, issues, project metrics, product backlogs, configuration items, and delivery status across the SAFe development lifecycle.
• Act as a product functional subject matter expert, support sprint teams, remove impediments, and mentor junior analysts.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of professional experience; a master's degree in engineering or a related scientific or technical discipline is required.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Must possess or qualify for a Public Trust (MBI) security clearance.
• Strong software development background and experience with Agile and Scaled Agile Framework methodologies.
• Advanced Microsoft Office and Excel skills, excellent analytical and communication abilities, and experience integrating information from multiple sources.
• Expertise with JIRA and experience in large Agile software development or data integration projects.

Nice to have

• Experience working in an Agile environment and knowledge of the VA Veterans Independence Program.
• VA SQA testing experience.
• Certified Scrum Master or Professional Scrum Master certification.
• Experience with a federal health agency and healthcare billing or claims-processing applications.
