Senior Business Analyst, Technology | Trading Systems

Location: Hybrid; in-office three days per week in St. Petersburg, Florida (preferred) or Denver, Colorado. Travel is less than 25%. This position is not eligible for work visa sponsorship, now or in the future.

Salary: $75,000–$115,000 per year.

What you will do

• Partner with equity, options, fixed income, and structured products trading desks and technology teams from solution inception through ongoing maintenance.
• Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements, including BRDs, FRDs, workflows, wireframes, user stories, acceptance criteria, data mappings, and data flows.
• Design and support implementation of new technology solutions, process improvements, system enhancements, and workflow improvements.
• Manage and prioritize application backlogs, support sprint planning, and lead Scrum ceremonies.
• Analyze client and system data, run Oracle SQL queries when needed, and support user testing and issue troubleshooting.
• Collaborate across departments to manage risks and changes, improve practices, and deliver firm-wide initiatives.

Requirements

• 3–6 years of general experience, ideally 3–5 years in technical business analysis or technical analysis.
• Knowledge of the financial services industry, preferably with front-, middle-, or back-office experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Computer and Information Science.
• Experience gathering and interpreting information from databases, interviews, and other sources.
• Ability to translate technical concepts for business audiences and business information for technical audiences.
• Ability to work in a team or project-room environment and occasionally cover non-standard shifts, nights, weekends, or on-call responsibilities.

Nice to have

• Intermediate to advanced SQL query writing.
• Experience with TFS or Postman.
• Experience using AI tools.
• Experience running SQL queries in Oracle databases for research and troubleshooting.
