Business Analyst (Healthcare)

Location: Remote within the continental United States; Tampa, Florida

What you will do

• Lead enterprise requirements strategy across programs and value streams with senior business leaders, product owners, and cross-functional teams.
• Manage product backlogs and support roadmap planning by evaluating business value, dependencies, risks, team capacity, and investment priorities.
• Facilitate discovery sessions, requirements workshops, prioritization discussions, and feedback loops between business and technical stakeholders.
• Translate business requirements into user stories, acceptance criteria, and technology solutions within Agile Scrum teams.
• Oversee UAT strategy, test planning, acceptance governance, and business-readiness assessments.
• Develop product documentation and promote Agile and SAFe practices through business cases, capability models, process flows, decision logs, and requirements governance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related discipline, plus at least 8 years of progressive Business Analyst experience.
• Experience supporting complex enterprise or healthcare initiatives in Agile and SAFe environments, including PI planning, backlog management, portfolio operations, and dependency management.
• Hands-on expertise analyzing, interpreting, mapping, and validating EDI transactions within complex enterprise workflows.
• Experience with IT modernization or integration projects for the Department of Veterans Affairs or a closely related federal healthcare agency.
• Experience mapping APIs and working with HL7, FHIR, microservices, cloud-native architectures, enterprise systems, and software development lifecycles.
• U.S. citizenship is required. A background check and the ability to obtain and maintain a Government/Public Trust clearance may be required.

Nice to have

• CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA, SAFe, Certified Scrum Product Owner, or another relevant business analysis or Agile certification.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar enterprise requirements and Agile delivery tools.
• Experience with federal healthcare interoperability, data governance, regulatory compliance, process optimization, or enterprise transformation.
