Contributor Experience Manager, Community (Generative AI)

Location: San Francisco, CA; New York, NY

Salary: $134,400–$168,000 USD annual base salary for eligible full-time roles in San Francisco, New York, and Seattle; equity and benefits may also apply.

What you will do

• Develop strategies to increase contributor participation, satisfaction, growth, and retention across large-hirify.global community platforms.
• Manage communications across Reddit, the Outlier Community, social channels, and the broader contributor journey.
• Build systems for routing questions, feedback, and disputes efficiently.
• Organize virtual events, monitor community sentiment, and proactively address risks and concerns.
• Use contributor feedback, quantitative metrics, and data insights to improve product and operational strategies.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration with operations, support, communications, marketing, and legal teams while managing at least one direct report.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, finance, or a related field.
• At least five years of experience in communications, marketing operations, field operations, program management, or project management.
• Experience managing active communities with thousands of members on platforms such as Slack, Discord, or Discourse.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to make complex information clear and accessible.
• Data-driven approach with the ability to analyze metrics and adapt strategies.
• Experience managing at least one direct report and holding them accountable for outcomes.

Nice to have

• Ability to use SQL and/or Claude Code to derive insights from data, or willingness to learn quickly.
• Passion for building positive and engaging community experiences.
