Senior Manager, Actuarial Strategic Operations (AI)

Location: Remote - USA

Salary: $157,700–$205,000 USD base salary annually, plus equity opportunities and a performance-based bonus.

What you will do

• Lead the Medicare Advantage Plan Command Center operating model, including governance, initiative portfolio management, prioritization, valuation, execution tracking, executive reporting, and continuous improvement.
• Develop enterprise performance monitoring frameworks, dashboards, KPIs, leading indicators, and reporting cadences to identify risks and guide leadership decisions.
• Integrate actuarial, operational, and financial performance into actionable recommendations for executive leadership while maintaining data integrity and financial discipline.
• Partner with Finance, Actuarial, Medical Economics, Clinical Operations, Revenue, Pharmacy, Product, and Analytics to align priorities, decision rights, and accountability.
• Expand automation, standardize processes, improve data quality, and implement governed AI-enabled workflows that reduce manual effort and scale reporting and analysis.
• Lead, coach, and develop actuarial and financial operations professionals while managing priorities, capacity, performance standards, and team growth.

Requirements

• Associate or Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and Member of the American Academy of Actuaries.
• 7–10 years of progressive experience in actuarial work, healthcare finance, population health, analytics, consulting, strategy, or operations, including cross-functional leadership and organizational change.
• Strong understanding of Medicare Advantage economics, including medical cost trends, utilization management, risk adjustment, provider reimbursement, or value-based care.
• Advanced SQL and Excel skills; experience with Python or R, business intelligence platforms, and modern AI tools is strongly preferred.
• Strong communication and executive presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex analysis into actionable business insights.
• Experience leading and developing senior analysts or finance professionals and influencing senior stakeholders in a highly matrixed organization.

• Experience applying AI to analytical workflows, operational efficiency, or business decision-making.
• Experience in managed care or healthcare actuarial functions.
