Security Systems Electronics Technician (Road Warrior)

Location: Based in Denver, Colorado; Phoenix, Arizona; or Las Vegas, Nevada. Travel exceeds 75% and may include assignments throughout Arizona, California, Nevada, Colorado, Nebraska, Wyoming, and other regions of the western United States.

Salary: $33.09 per hour, plus approved overtime, per diem, and travel pay. Health and welfare: $4.93 per hour.

What you will do

• Install, upgrade, maintain, test, and troubleshoot physical security infrastructure at electrical substations, switchyards, and other facilities.
• Configure and service intrusion detection, physical access control, IP video surveillance, CCTV, intercom, mass notification, and electronic locking systems.
• Install and troubleshoot security wiring and power circuits while following wiring standards, NEC requirements, grounding practices, and electrical safety procedures.
• Read and interpret electrical, electronic, electromechanical, and construction schematics, blueprints, and maintenance manuals.
• Use multimeters, cable testers, and other test equipment to prepare site test data and technical documentation.
• Work independently or with small teams, coordinating status updates with clients, team members, and leads.

Requirements

• US citizenship and eligibility to obtain and maintain a customer clearance, including local and national background checks.
• Current and valid driver's license; the role may require driving company vehicles.
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and servicing IDS, PACS, IP video surveillance, and related security systems.
• High school diploma or equivalent, military electronics or communications technician training, or at least 5 years of technical installation experience in lieu of military training.
• Experience with electronics and electrical systems, including access control, CCTV, security cameras, intercoms, conduit, and low-voltage systems.
• Ability to travel 75–90%, work four 10-hour days with Friday travel, work outdoors and indoors in varying conditions, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with DoD and DoS security requirements.
• Experience with Lenel, Software House, and Milestone systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.
