Facilities Associate (Security Systems)

Location: Tysons, Virginia, United States; office-based work 4 days per week

Salary: $23.75–$30 per hour

What you will do

• Support daily facilities operations, inspections, preventive maintenance, workspace setup, and organized storage.
• Assist with alarms, access control, CCTV, monitoring equipment, fire alarms, emergency equipment, and badge systems.
• Respond to service requests and troubleshoot basic issues involving lighting, furniture, and minor repairs.
• Coordinate vendors for repairs, maintenance, inspections, and service scheduling.
• Support office moves, desk setups, equipment relocations, inventory tracking, and maintenance documentation.
• Provide occasional after-hours or weekend support for emergencies and planned work.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Some experience or demonstrated aptitude in facilities, maintenance, security systems, or related environments.
• Ability to safely use hand tools and basic maintenance equipment.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, reliability, initiative, and teamwork.
• Ability to lift 40–50 lbs and perform walking, standing, lifting, bending, and climbing.
• Basic computer skills, including email and work order or ticketing systems.

Nice to have

• Experience with alarm systems, access control, CCTV, or low-voltage systems.
• Vendor coordination and service scheduling experience.
• OSHA or safety training, or willingness to obtain it.
• Strong communication and customer-service skills.
